NW CASC Advisory Committee Member Davia Palmeri Receives WAFWA President’s Award

NW CASC advisory committee member Davia Palmeri — Conservation Policy Coordinator at the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) — recently received the President’s Award from the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife (WAFWA). WAFWA President Jen Psyllakis recognized Davia in part for her contributions to WAFWA through the Women in Wildlife Conservation Network, stating “Davia’s commitment to conservation and building partnerships is apparent at every step of her career….Davia is a leader and innovator, and she consistently elevates the outcomes of projects with which she’s involved.”

In her role at ODFW, Davia helps the Department prepare for and respond to crosscutting conservation issues between its fish and wildlife divisions, including climate change, renewable energy development and conservation funding.
