Amanda Stahl is a research associate at Washington State University, where she explores strategies to help ecosystems be more climate adaptive and resilient through times of environmental change. She has a doctorate from Washington State University, a master’s degree from University of New Mexico, and a bachelor’s degree from Brown University. When not doing research, Amanda enjoys backpacking, kayaking and gardening. Amanda’s work includes finding ways to efficiently track the effectiveness of past actions across diverse and changing landscapes, to better inform future actions or policies. She collaborates with natural resource practitioners to identify data gaps in their effectiveness monitoring programs and to develop practical strategies to fill those gaps.
