Explore NW CASC’s New Set of Projects Focused on Invasives, Shrublands & Ecological Transformation

USGS-directed research funding, administered by the federal side of the NW CASC’s federal-university partnership, supports a portfolio of regional climate adaptation projects each year. Like all of the research the NW CASC supports, these projects align with research priorities outlined in our five-year Science Agenda, developed through collaboration between regional natural resource managers and scientists.

The University of Washington Climate Impacts Group, host of the Northwest Climate Adaptation Science Center, is hiring a director. The Director will provide strategic leadership and direction for the Group’s research, education and stakeholder engagement efforts aimed at improving societal and ecological resilience to climate variability and change and will represent the Climate Impacts Group on a regional and national scale.

New Chapter for NW CASC University Director Amy Snover

Dr. Amy Snover, University Director of the Northwest Climate Adaptation Science Center (NW CASC) and Director of the University of Washington Climate Impacts Group, is retiring on June 15, 2022. Amy has led the NW CASC since 2017 and has worked for the Climate Impacts Group for more than 20 years, serving as the Director for nearly a decade.
