Bio
Abby Bratt is a Pacific Northwesterner through and through. Currently a master’s student in quantitative ecology & resource management at the University of Washington, she grew up just north of Seattle and holds a bachelor’s in statistics, also from the University of Washington. When she’s not working, you can probably find her knitting, birding or playing soccer.
Abby is interested in the demography of small or declining species’ populations and the statistical techniques we use to study them. In particular, she is focused on developing statistical methods that use all available data to reduce uncertainty about species’ demographic rates like survival or movement. Ultimately, she is interested in using these methods to predict population persistence under alternative management strategies.
