Bio

Bridget Bittmann grew up in Southeast Wisconsin and received her bachelor’s in environmental sciences with a minor in biology from Central Michigan University. Wanting to explore the realm of water outside of the Great Lakes region, she moved to Idaho to receive her master’s in hydrologic sciences at Boise State University. When not working, Bridget enjoys reading, hanging out with her cat, Chive, and exploring the mountains.

Bridget’s research looks at how the amount of water flowing from irrigation drains to the Boise River are shifting with the urbanization of agricultural lands. She uses statistical analysis and modeling to understand these relationships. More broadly, she is interested in using data and modeling to explain how our water resources are changing with ongoing stresses, such as climate change and land cover change.
