Darcy Widmayer is the Communications Manager for the NW CASC. Darcy’s professional mission is to improve the communication of science and foster partnerships to better tackle complex environmental challenges and protect our lands, waters, wildlife and people in a changing world. In Darcy’s previous role as Private Forestry Outreach Specialist at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, she worked in partnership to increase the number of private landowners in Wisconsin practicing forest management, while also building forester capacity to communicate more effectively with landowners.
Darcy received a BS in French and Biological Aspects of Conservation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MS in Environmental Conservation from the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is excited to help expand the reach and impact of the NW CASC’s work across the region.
