Bio
Travis King grew up in Dickinson, North Dakota before moving to Washington for both his undergrad and graduate schooling. As an undergraduate, Travis studied zoology with the goal to go on and do field research on large mammalian carnivores. Travis’s research focuses on an occupancy survey of Canada Lynx in Washington State using camera traps placed across the high mountains of Northeastern and Northern Washington. This research will aid our understanding of Canada Lynx distribution across the state, allowing better management of Washington’s endangered and federally listed species. In his free time, Travis enjoys going on new adventures, hiking, traveling, and getting to know people, places and cultures on a deeper level.
