Bio

Dr. Trevor Faske is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Montana with Dr. Akasha Faist. Trevor completed his doctorate at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he used genomic data to inform the conservation and restoration of native plant communities around western North America.

Trevor is an evolutionary biologist and conservation geneticist whose research focuses on understanding how genetic variation can help species and ecosystems persist in changing environments. His work combines population genetics, genomics, ecology and environmental data to address questions with direct applications to conservation and ecological restoration. He is particularly interested in bridging the gap between fundamental evolutionary research and the information land managers need to make decisions on the ground. Outside of research, Trevor spends his time birding, biking, climbing and rafting. Preferably all at the same time.
